Everyone now knows about the blasts at Boston. But who did it ?
First of all what Mr. Obama has to say. Reacting strongly to the incidents of three explosions that rocked Boston, US President Barack Obama has affirmed that his administration will find out the perpetrators and hold them accountable for the act.
"You should anticipate that as we get more information, our teams will provide you briefings. We're still in the investigation stage at this point. But I just want to reiterate we will find out who did this and we will hold them accountable," the US President said.
Obama said he and his administration are continuing to monitor and respond to the situation as it unfolds.
"I've directed the full resources of the federal government to help state and local authorities protect our people, increase security around the US as necessary, and investigate what happened," he said. He sought to refrain from jumping into any conclusion about the nature of the explosions.
"We still do not know who did this and why. And people shouldn't jump to conclusions before we have all the facts. But make no mistake, we will get to the bottom of this," Obama said in an statement, some three hours after the blasts.
"We will find out who did this (and) why they did this. Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups will feel the full weight of justice," a grim but determined-looking Obama said in his White House statement to the press.
This was Mr. Obama speaking. What can presume ? Obviously we have to turn our attention to the groups who are anti-US. There are so many from the Muslim world. So many countries and jihadist groups inside them. One of them -- the Pakistani Talibans have denied any role in it. As is known, this very group was responsible for a a failed car bomb attack on Times Square, NewYork in 2010. If the current attack isn't a sophisticated one, that attack plan also was crude enough. It may be said that due to continous security measures in place these groups are finding it very very hard for arrange logistics inside US. Result being that even if having horrifying fame and having fought many battles with sophisticated weaponry, they are not able presently to strike with that kind of blasting weapons on this foreign soil.
On the other hand, there are white supremacist groups also inside US. They are angry with the present situation where there has been large unemployments among whites, while others mainly the immigrants earning handsomely. Recent shootings in the Wisconsin Gurudwara showed what had been transpiring in their heads and in their conferences.
If someone thinks it could be a work of some disgruntled and mischievous individual or group and this is found to be true, then certainly sinister. Recently more then one such incidents have come to the fore and if this is part of that chain then it is worth minding now that this chain is growing. Meanwhile, let us keep our mind guessing and fingers crossed for facts to come out which will make it clear whether domestic terror network is really taking shape ??
